at this point not even so much worried about what i’m gonna do when the znpp explodes (kinda pointless to worry, too many unpredictable variables) as just depressed at the realization that like. yeah. that’s a thing that is going to happen. nearly half of my country will be razed down (check), turned to inarable desert (check), poisoned with radiation for years and decades to come (in progress), and we did nothing ever to even come close to deserving this, and i guess it really was naive to expect that somebody besides us would want this not to happen

and the funniest thing is that if we make it out of this we’re gonna find ourselves in a world where half our neighbours are waiting for the next chance to kill us, the other half gives like a quarter of a shit if we prove to them that we’re worthy, useful, etc, with our economy in ruins and our own government+police corrupt as ever (that isn’t to say uniquely corrupt, but yk) and our own society scarred and traumatized in potentially reactionary ways that will be for us to deal with, with what remains of our nature dying away from climate change and with all the horrors of late capitalism still in place, and yet,
